KPIs for employee health and wellbeing in flexible workplaces

It’s generally agreed that flexible working is a good way to improve health and wellbeing for some employees, who might find it difficult to work full-time from the office.

According to research carried out at the Politecnico di Milano, half of employees globally spend only half of each week working from the office – and that’s before the Coronavirus pandemic emerged.

For the other two and a half days, they work from home, on the road, or at a third-party location.

When flexible workers need to come into the office, they face a variety of environmental factors that can have a positive or negative effect on their health, wellbeing and physical comfort.

The researchers compiled a list of nearly 20 factors that affect workplace wellbeing for flexible employees – this is a ranked list, with the most important variables at the top.
